At ALD this section of our business is one of the most important. We employ Steve Jones as a full time safety officer. Steve communicates daily with Sam Smith so that a constant standard can be achieved. We achieved CHAS accreditation in December 2009 and we are working towards ISO14001 registration in 2010.
We have undergone many training initiatives, which we believe have reduced the risk of injury on site. PASMA training, IPAF training, CSCS training, NVQ training for all employees, SSSTS training and most currently we have commenced SMSTS training for all our site managerial staff.
We were nominated for the Plaisterers Sword of Excellence for Training award in 2009 and whilst we did not win the award they were impressed by both the quantity and quality of the training that was taking place.
